A teaser bet is a type of parlay that allows you to combine multiple wagers and customise the point spreads or totals by a fixed number of points.
Teaser bets are available for both Basketball and American Football, containing between two and twenty selections. The adjustable lines can range from four to ten points, with the exclusion of eight and nine-point adjustments.
How it works
Teasers allow you to adjust the lines by a fixed number of points. In exchange for these more favourable lines, the potential payout is lower.
For example, if the following two NFL games have the below Point Spreads offered:
-
Game 1: Ravens -7.5 (favourite by 7.5 points).
-
Game 2: Bears +2.5 (underdogs by 2.5 points).
If you utilise a 6 point teaser, you can adjust these lines to your advantage:
-
Game 1: The Ravens line moves from -7.5 to -1.5, which means they now only need to win by two points or more.
-
Game 2: The Bears line moves from +2.5 to +8.5, which means they can now win outright or lose by up to eight points.
How to find and place a Teaser
-
Choose either Basketball or American Football as a sport to bet on.
-
Make between two and 20 selections to add to your bet slip.
-
Select Show Options located on the top left of the bet slip, followed by the bet option dropdown on the top right of the bet slip.
-
Select Teaser.
-
Submit your stake and select Place Bet.
Settlement
As with standard accumulators, all your selections are required to win for your stake to be successful.
If a leg results in a Push, that leg is removed and the payout is recalculated based on the remaining selections. However, if a two-team teaser bet results in a Push, the entire bet is considered a Push, and your stake will be returned.
