Settlement of Wagers
Statistics provided by the official score(s) provider or the official website of the relevant competition or fixture will be used to settle wagers. Where statistics from an official score(s) provider or official website are not available or there is significant evidence that the official score(s) provider or official website is incorrect, we will use independent evidence to support bet settlement.
In the absence of consistent, independent evidence or in the presence of significant conflicting evidence, bets will be settled based on our own statistics.
Betting Information
General
Fixed Odds
Where Fixed Odds are offered and no price is taken, bets will be settled at the last price available with bet365.
Where Fixed Odds are not offered so no price is taken, bets will be settled based upon the Pari-Mutuel (Tote) dividend (declared inclusive of stake).
US Tote Pools
Please note that bets which go direct into US Tote pools will be placed in US$, although we will also indicate the value of your stake in your chosen currency. Bets which do not go direct into US Tote pools will be placed in your chosen currency. Winnings from US racing will be shown in your chosen currency on your account statement. Host track rules apply to all pool bets. There is no maximum payout applied to bets which go into pools. All dividends from the track are returned to a $2 unit, and bets will be settled using the dividend declared. If a bet is placed for a bet type where no dividend is declared, that part of the bet will be made void.
Race Surface
If on the day of a race the surface is altered (e.g. Turf to Dirt/All Weather or vice versa), then bets will stand.
Coupled Horses
Some horses may be coupled in all Tote pools. If a bet is placed on two or more coupled selections and one is a non-runner then the bet will stand on the remaining selection(s).
Purse Money Only
In the event of the local stewards declaring that a horse is running for purse money only, where fixed odds prices are offered on that selection/race, all bets will stand on the finishing positions of all runners. All tote bets on that declared selection will be made void, and considered a non-runner.
Place and Show Betting
US Tote Pools
Up to 3 runners - Win only
4 runners - Two places (Place dividend)
5 or more runners - Three places (Show dividend) or two places (Place dividend)
Each Way Betting
Bets are settled to win unless Each Way is selected. An Each Way bet is a bet of twice the selected unit stake. It contains one bet of unit stake on the selection to Win and one bet of unit stake on the selection to be Placed according to the terms advertised for the event. In general, the Place part of Each Way bets will be settled as per the following Place terms:
Handicaps of 16 or more runners, one quarter the odds, first four places.
Handicaps of 12 to 15 runners, one quarter the odds, first three places.
All other races of 8 or more runners, one fifth the odds, first three places.
Races of 5, 6 or 7 runners, one quarter the odds, first two places.
Less than 5 runner, the place money is invested to Win.
Position Payout
Position Payout is a fixed odds market, which gives you the option to place a bet on your horse to finish within a range of finishing positions. The payout of your bet is determined by the set multiplier assigned to the finishing position of your horse.
Bets on non-runners will be void.
If a horse(s) is withdrawn from a specific race with odds of greater than 5.75 your selection will stand at the current prices, if the withdrawn horse(s) has odds of 5.5 or less, then your selection will be recalculated at the current prices. In the event of the number of runners in the race being equal to or less than the number of finishing positions offered at time of bet placement then bets will be void.
For any Position Payout bets, in the event of a dead heat, we will pay the full multiplication value for the higher place. As an example, if your horse dead heats for 3rd and 4th place, you will be paid in full for the 3rd place multiplier.’
Our Double Result offer will apply to this market.
Runners Under Starting Orders
In all races the number of runners shall be the number of runners coming under starters orders. Bets will not be accepted where the Place stake exceeds the Win stake. Each Way doubles, trebles and accumulators will be settled Win to Win and Place to Place in accordance with the above.
Each Way Extra
Each Way Extra bets are considered an offset to standard Each Way terms. In the event of non-runners, if the standard Each Way terms change, then the Each Way Extra terms will also change accordingly (including changes to the number of places available and/or the market place fraction).
Enhanced Win
Bets on non-runners will be void, and when applicable Rule 4 will apply to all remaining runners based on the price of the withdrawn horse in the normal Win market (not the Enhanced Bet price). Our Double Result offer will apply to this market.

Bets on non-runners will be void, and when applicable Rule 4 will apply to all remaining runners based on the price of the withdrawn horse in the normal Win market (not the Cover Bet price). In the event of non-runners the number of places paid will remain the same, unless the number of runners in the race is equal to or less than the number of places paid, in which case all bets will be void. Dead-heat rules apply. Our Double Result offer will apply to this market.

Quinellas
Should any Quinella contain a non-runner, the bet will be void. If a bet is placed for a Quinella and an Exacta is declared, then the stake will be split and settled as a reversed Exacta.
Fixed Odds Quinellas

If any non-runners result in a total Rule 4 (Deductions) of £0.10 in the £ or greater, then winning bets (not containing any of the non-runners) will be settled at our recalculated odds based on the bet365 starting odds of the final field in the Win market.
In the event of two or more horses dead-heating for first or second place then separate recalculated bet365 odds will be declared and paid to each qualifying bet. The full odds will be paid with the stake split according to the number of horses which dead-heat.

You may take early prices or show prices in straight forecasts when available, in a fixed price forecast. AB BA
AC CA
BC CB
Forecast bets are not accepted containing unnamed favourites.
Non-Runners
Should any forecast contain a non-runner then the total stake will be placed to Win on the other selection, unless a non-runner results in less than 3 actually running in a race; then all forecasts for that race will be void. In fixed price forecasts the remaining selection will be settled at the last available price with bet365.
Horse Finishes Alone
In races where a horse finishes alone and no forecast dividend is returned then all forecast bets nominating that horse to finish first will be settled as a Win single at the last available price with bet365 on the winning horse. All other forecast bets in the race are lost.

The following applies to both tricasts and fixed price tricasts: if one selection is a non-runner then the bet will be settled as a straight forecast at the bet365 forecast dividend. If there are two non-runners then the bet will be settled as a single on the remaining selection at the last available price with bet365.
Tricasts are not accepted including unnamed favourites.

The rate of deduction will be based on the price of the withdrawn horse at the time of its withdrawal on the following scale:

6/1 to 9/1 £0.10
10/1 to 14/1 5p
over 14/1 no deduction
When a horse is withdrawn at odds of between 10/1 and 14/1, bookmakers normally make a 5p in the £ deduction to winnings. bet365 has abolished the first such deduction in any race.
In the event of two or more horses being withdrawn before coming under starter's orders then the total deductions shall not exceed £0.90 in the £.
Should a horse be withdrawn and a new market formed then any bets laid at show prices prior to the new show will be subject to the above deductions. In the event of a further withdrawal after the market has been reformed then bets placed at show prices in the original market will be subject to a further deduction based on the price of the withdrawn horse in the original market. Bets placed in the new market will be subject to a deduction based on the current price.
The above scale will also apply in the case of non-runners in early price races and will be used for other events where we specifically advertise that deductions in line with Rule 4 (Deductions) will apply.
Winning Distance Over/Under In-Play
Where there is a dead-heat, winning bets will be settled under the quote to the full stake. Where a horse finishes alone bets will be settled over the quote. Where a horse finishes exactly on the quote then all bets will be settled as void.

Dead-heat rules apply.
If both or all selections fail to finish all bets will be void and stakes returned.
Finishing Position In-Play
Bets will be settled on the official result after the weigh-in. A selection that fails to complete the race is deemed to have finished last for settling purposes. If a horse is declared a non-runner and its price at the time of withdrawal is 9/1 or less, then all bets placed on all selections in the Finishing Position market prior to any new market being formed will be void. If a horse is declared a non-runner and its price at the time of withdrawal is 10/1 or greater then all bets on the Finishing Position market stand with no Rule 4 (Deductions) adjustment. Our Double Result offer does not apply to this market. Dead-heat rules apply.
Winning Distances
Where applicable the named horse must win. All bets will be settled according to the official distance as stated at the weigh-in. Any non-runners then Rule 4 (Deductions) will apply to Horse Winning Distances (not applicable to Race Winning Distances). Where the named horse is a dead-heat winner then bets will be settled as under to the full stake. Where a horse finishes alone then bets settled as over.
Either To Win
For a specified race a price is offered for either of the named horses to win.
If either horse is declared a non-runner the entire bet will be void.
